Welcome to Art in the Countryside.

Art in the Countryside is hosted by artist-curators and event organisers, Graham Perryman and Miranda Markham and is also home to their personal galleries.

Here you can stay in touch with all of the local exhibitions that they organise as well as links to the local Art Network.  We are always delighted to meet new artists, so please get in touch via our contact page if you would like to find out more or join this burgeoning community .

To quote David Hockney “Art is about Sharing” . Enjoy!

Artists in the Countryside gathers a quietly remarkable group, each shaped by the land they walk and work upon. Their pieces carry the hush of open fields, the weathered edges of hedgerows, and the slow passing of seasons made visible.

Selected for their instinctive, hand-crafted approach, these artists honour tradition through touch and time. In every mark and material, there is a sense of care—work that feels grown rather than made, rooted deeply in place and presence.

Each year, Art in the Countryside brings artists and visitors together in a warm celebration of creativity and community. In past events, the village hall has been transformed into a vibrant gallery, filled with paintings, ceramics. Visitors return time and again, drawn by the welcoming atmosphere—where art feels accessible, conversations flow easily.

This June 2026, the village hall once again becomes the heart of the experience. It’s more than an exhibition—it’s a chance to connect with creativity in a setting that feels both uplifting and genuine.

Make time this June to experience something special. Whether you’re an avid collector or simply curious, you’ll find inspiration, warmth, and perhaps a piece that stays with you long after you leave. Art in the Countryside awaits you at the village hall.
